| I don't see a need to phase in over nearly 17 months requests for free credit reports. As a resident of Maryland, I can request from each service a free credit report now. Making a single web site, toll free number and mailing address for the rest of America seems fairly easy for the credit bureaus to establish. And a delay in requesting free annual file disclosures until December seems to be excessive. Any delay in fully implementing will negatively impact those the Fair Credit Reporting Act is intended to help.The credit bureaus have known about this requirement since December 2003... |
