I agree with Michael Jacobson (Center for Science in the Public Interest) that children do not understand what ads are and can, therefore, be easily hoodwinked into believing whatever the advertisers throw at them in regards to junk food. I urge the FTC to pass the proposed voluntary guidelines to limit unhealthy fats, sodium, and added sugars in foods advertised to children under 18 and to require advertised foods to include some fruit, vegetables, extra-lean meat, poultry or other healthful ingredients.
