I am pleading with you to step up and protect our future and the children it holds. Asking the Food Industry to regulate itsself is like asking a drug dealer to please not sell to people under the ae of 21. It is not in their best interests (pocket linings) to use restraint or produce a better product for children to consume. Congress wonders why so many people oppose government healthcare? Perhaps it is because so many government agencies allow business, pharmaceutical companies, and lobbies to make the rules and break them at will. There are no real ramifications for producing bad products, just a slap on the wrist and a nod that you better not do that again anytime soon. We live in the most powerful nation on Earth and yet we continue to fail our future generations. I realize this email is probably in vain, but at least I can sleep better tonight knowing that I have tried to take a stand and make a positive difference in the future of the USA.
