With both adult and child obesity rates at unprecedented levels, it only makes sense for the food industry to be required to reduce marketing of highly processed nutrient-poor foods to children. Since it for a self-regulatory effort on the part of the food industry, this is hardly burdensome. The paucity of public health funds can do little to offset the persistent commercial campaign of the food industry, so we must reduce the marketing of unhealthy foods - it is the right thing to do, and also the the one with the least cost.
