A couple of years ago I used this gov. web site to get my free credit report. I did get them without cost and that was not the problem. None of the reports gave me an overall credit score.(Such as 750 for example). I was interested in this and did some more research only to find out that in order to get this overall score from any of the credit report agencys I had to pay an extra fee. I felt that the score should be part of the free section of information and choose not to get the score because I did not want to enroll in a credit reporting agency program. When you get a car or etc they check the score and not a detailed report. The score should be part of the free report.
