Getting a "free" credit report is one of the most confusing and frustrating experiences there is. The credit reporting companies do everything they can to confuse you and get you out of the "free" site and into their paid services. This must stop. Non-free commercial links should be CLEARLY stated as such or prohibited. The FTC should remove all advertising and marketing by the credit bureaus before, during and even after the process of getting a free credit report. People should be able to get their reports and exit the Web site without having to go through a gantlet of sales pitches. AnnualCreditReport.com should be commercial-free.
