The free Annual Credit Report site should use the .gov domain so that it is clear that it is the site used to get your free credit report. A new name may be more appropriate however annualcreditreport.gov would add substantial legitimacy to the site. There is nothing on the current site to indicate that this is THE government mandated method of getting your credit report for free.
