The problem with the annualcreditreport.com site is that the FTC is aiding and abetting an upsell scam, even though it is possible to get a free report -- but it is like pulling teeth. They'll SPAM you to death, too. Where is it written private firms may cash in on services they are required to provide ? The lobbyists must have spread a LOT of cash around on that, eh ? Most of know national politics is corrupt and awash in payoff-lobbyist money. I have no illusions anyone there intends on doing something for me without money changing hands. Never mind...
