I, too, was tricked when I tried to receive my free annual credit report. Somehow, I was asked to choose an agency, and I chose Equifax. I was later told that this source referred all requests to CreditReport.com. I was charged for the initial report, and only noticed several months later that I was continuing to be charged. I called CreditReport.com to cancel and point out this error, but was told that I needed to keep getting the monthly report, or maybe someone at their company pressed the wrong button, or several other excuses. I demanded to have this report cancelled, and was told there could be no refund. I wonder how many people have had this experience with these shady and untruthful agencies. Please help us eliminate these practices.
