Comments:
The FTC should remove all advertising and marketing by the credit bureaus at least before, and during the process of getting a free credit report. People should be able to get their reports and exit the Web site without sales pitches. If the FTC really wants to end consumer confusion, AnnualCreditReport.com should be commercial-free. To have people unwittingly redirected away from the federal site to a private for-profit site is a form of identity theft. Please end this deceptive practice.
