As a consumer, I wholeheartedly support the following possible actions by FTC: - Restricting the direction and/or redirection of consumers looking for the free annual credit report to websites where they are duped into buying unnecessary services while they think they just need the free credit report, and - The tendency of the three credit card bureaus to sell us services like the credit score when we apply for the free annual credit report. They should be free to pitch these services AFTER we have been given our free credit report.
