I read with interest Michelle Singletary's column on the issue of Free Credit Reporting. I found myself trying to access my "free" credit reports earlier this year and found it painful. I believe, as Michelle stated, the FTC should REMOVE all advertising and marketing by other credit bureaus before, during and even after one requests his/her "Free" credit reports. The confusion and uncertainty of if you are really where you need to be is exhausting. The identity risk would seem to be enough of an incentive to remove these advertising nuisances. Thanks for reading! ef
