I believe that the FTC should not allow advertising and marketing by the credit bureaus during the process of obtaining one's free annual credit report from the clearinghouse set up for that purpose. I would think it was the intent of Congress to provide a method for consumers that is free of interference by commercial interests. Credit bureaus have numerous other outlets for marketing and advertising their products, so consumers should have a commercial-free place to exercise their right under federal law. Thank you for considering my comment.
