Unless one is extremely careful, reading every single piece of information on the free credit report site it is guaranteed to manipulate one into paying for a service that should be free. The site is a maze of confusing sites, words and suggestions that the average person probably won't get through without paying for something, or falling prey to identify theft. I strongly suggest that the FTC remove all advertising and marketing by the credit bureaus before, during and even after the process of getting a free credit report. How this was even allowed to happen in the first place questions the motive of FTC, and/or those responsible for setting these sites up. It really is a shame and it's time to eliminate the trickery.
