I have just gone through the process of getting my free credit report. I found the process very confusing and irritating. I started with TransUnion and found myself in a dead-end. I then went through the entire process again with Equifax. I did get a report but I deemed the format to be intentionally confusing. Certainly the procedure can, and should, be made much more straight forward.
