I am opposed to the Fresenius Dialysis Center opening to the west of Wal-Mart in South Union Township, Uniontown, PA since it is too close to an already operating dialysis center. RAI Dialysis opened in July of 2011 and was quickly purchased by Fresenius. Since then, an FTC ruling forced the divestiture of the RAI operation. As accorded. the FTC ruling, FTC 111-0170, Fresenius is prohibited from competing against an already operating dialysis center within certain adjacent zip codes. The planned site is within those zip codes.
