Berger, Federal Trade Commission: Any information obtained by any publicly subsidized entity, for any use or function is public information! Understand the difference between PUBLIC and PRIVATE. As a tax payer, I am subsidizing these entities such as "Federally Insured Banks," if they fail, I have to PAY. Almost every business operation in the country is controlled, regulated or manipulated by GOVERNMENT - which is in this country PUBLIC - which is ME. I AM the public and ARE entitled to any information those entities may have. NO if's and's or but's -- the deal is if anyone wants or needs the protection of the PUBLIC to secure their operations -- they have no right to prevent the PUBLIC from the information that is required by those entities. Where in the Heck do you get off? Protecting access to public information obtained by and for individuals for the purpose of preventing or hiding that information to any extent only promotes dishonesty and irresponsibility. Please look at our Judicial System "of Justice" where judgment debtor's are so protected from disclosure of information relative to identifying their assets that the rate of actual collection of awarded judgment is nationally below 25%. Wake up -- do your job responsibly. Federal Trade - is not Federal Secrecy. John Merryman |
