As an erstwhile gmail & YouTube holder, I've been increasingly dismayed at Google's shocking lack of wisdom regarding its clients privacy and security.
First there was the egregiously open default setting to their "Buzz" service which should have tipped us all off to their blinkered pursuit of ever newer gewgaws.
Then they deliberately and without warning joined one's gmail & YouTube accounts without so much as a 'by your leave.'
As a result, I've left both gmail and YouTube accounts to lie fallow. I shall not return.
Were you able to bring some privacy legislation to bear upon them, it would not only help their clients but would enable them to retain their more conscientious clients who are aware of their privacy deficiencies.
Thank you very much for your time and good luck in all you do!
