I do not want the federal government telling me what to do; I want it giving me the tools so I can make a healthy, informed decision. When you allow unscrupulous greedy businesses to operate under the guises of “organic”, you are allowing us the public to be duped. I expect “truth in listing” when it comes to the use of the word organic. Business has been allowed for far too long to confuse us the public when it comes to the ingredients of foods to labeling what is in the products we apply to our bodies which then enters our bodies through the skin.
I can’t tell you how many times I have purchased a shampoo or face cream and paid a considerable amount of money for what I thought was “organic” only to find in the small print a product I know was
petrochemical. We need to clean up the organic cosmetic industry and stop the “organic-washing”.
