Submission Text
Organic should mean something, no matter whether it's marked on cosmetics, food, clothing or anything else. People have the right to expect that the label means only ingredients from nature, free of pesticides, genetically modified ingredients, and no natural substances so chemically adulterated that they become as harmful as mainstream products.
Most people do not have the initiative to research their purchases and naively rely on labels for reassurance. The meaning of Organic has already been compromised by our government in collusion with industrial agriculture. Please stop undermining the already too lax standards. Please enforce "organic" on cosmetics and topical products.
