I wish to commend the FTC in its actions in regards to the Indoor Tanning Association and its use of deceptive and false advertising. For years the ITA has practiced deceptive advertising creating a lot of confusion for the lay public. There is an ever growing body of evidence that demonstrates the hazards of indoor tanning in regards to skin cancer and other disorders. Any health benefits of indoor tanning are minimal and outweighed by the risks.
