I am a lender for a community bank. Part of the problem we have today is from unscrupulous brokers puting people into homes they could not afford. The tide has changed now to counselors, probably the same people because they are now out of work, promising the world and taking fees to do it for delinquent borrowers. Please act swiftly and follow CA lead in licensing these agencies and do not allow them to charge for their services. We have had customers forward money to them thinking the funds were being applied to their delinquent mortgage when in fact we were never involved. Our country is in a sad state of affairs. Once again the down trodden are taken advantage of for someone elses gain. Please intervene soon!
