Comments:The gasoline companies have created a monopoly. This should be outlawed. If one company charges $4.01 a gallon, the other companies think they can charge $4.05 a gallon and the price keeps going up. There are no alternative solutions yet, other than buying a hybrid vehicle (which no one in the middle class bracket can do because they're so over budget on gasoline cost). There have to be rules regulating the cost the oil companies can charge for oil. We have oil reserves, we have oil in our country. We should not be so dependant on other countries. The American public does not know what to do, or they would do it. The people that are being hurt by the gas-gouging are the poor and middle class. The rich still drive around in their SUV's and are not as affected by it. Please help the people of this country! Set some laws and make the oil companies abide by them. This hike of gasoline costs is outrageous! Someone needs to be held accountable. Please hurry! People are using their grocery money to put in their gasoline tanks. Make a decision soon!
