There is a necessary requirement for a thorough veterinary pharmacological education when using medications on animals vs. people. Veterinary practices are unique in having necessary knowledge to safely and effectively prescribe and dispense medications.
Veterinary practices are extremely concerned with dispensing quality pharmaceuticals that are safe and effective and having the necessary inventory on hand. This is because of our unique relationship with the producer or pet owner in safeguarding the overall health of animals. It is one of our goals as a profession to advocate and ensure the welfare of animals in this country.
