Pharmacists are completely unqualified to dispense veterinary exclusive pharmaceuticals, as no pharmacy curriculum covers the unique pharmacology of these drugs, and their usage in non human animals. ONLY veterinarians have this training, and thus ONLY veterinarians should retain the prescribing and dispensing rights to such drugs. Pharmacists are unable to answer clients' questions in an educated manner about their pets' medications in the absence of significant veterinary pharmacology in their education.
