Our state law already requires veterinarians to write prescriptions if an owner requests them. By forcing us to write prescriptions at all appointments we will have less time to spend on the appointment itself. In turn this will lead to higher prices and longer wait times and less time to see sick patients. There is no reason to have the federal government lay an additonal obligation where the states have already made law.
