The quality and cost of pet medications is an important pocketbook issue for many consumers. In Massachusetts consumers already can and do get a written prescription at no charge, on request, whenever they want. Providing to the pet owner a mandatory copy of a veterinary prescription and a written disclosure, whether or not requested by the pet owner, will simply waste paper and add to the overhead cost of pet care, which is also an important pocketbook issue for many consumers. You do know the rule, 'there is no free lunch', don't you? This law will waste time, money and paper to no good end, except ultimately higher expense to the pet owner.
