Thank you for the opportunity to comment. My clinical focus is feline-exclusive, and the metabolism of cats is different from not only people but dogs as well. Our practice currently provides prescriptions for cat owners which they may fill; often specialized pharmacies are required for this because of feline metabolic idiosyncrasies. To mandate beyond what is currently already being done is ill-advised and neither necessary nor a prudent use of my tax dollars.
