I am writing as a position against legislation that would require a written presciption for every medication administered. Written prescriptions are given at request of the owner and in the State of Delaware need to be written on specific, registered prescription pads. There is a substantial level of cost as well as time associated with writing prescriptions on expensive, registered paper. This legislation is an unnecessary burden to the general practitioner and in no way is clinically indicated or relavent.
