The proposed legislation would pose an undue burden on the veterinarian. Each client in our practice knows they are free to purchase medications where they choose. In an already busy setting, writing prescriptions when the client already intends to have them filled at the veterinary office would take precious time from the veterinarian and her staff. I believe it would create upward pressure to raise prices of veterinary care in general. The veterinary profession has maintained a level of trust with the general population that could erode as prices are continually pushed upward. Thank you.
