I would like to add my thoughts on this pending legislation. I have been practicing veterinary medicine for almost 30 years through many economic downtrends and uptrends that have affected our practice. The main underlining factor in all our recoveries has been the freedom of choice in redirecting and adapting our practice methods without governmental interference. Please do not add further hinderances to our ability to help animals yet make a reasonable living and keep our practices running profitable. I am appealing to you as a small business owner trying to survive against unfair internet distributors that will cut us down like sheep if we try to compete one on one. By letting consumers choose their medicine supplier, you will cut us out and put the health of the pet at risk all for the sake of saving money. Unfortunately, this will place the decision of a pet's care on the owner and not its doctor. On the human medicine side, the advocates of care always pull for the doctor.
