Submission Text
We strongly support the fair and reasonable agreement reached between the Federal Trade Commission and Phusion Projects, LLC. We commend Phusion’s responsibility and industry leadership in agreeing to provide additional labeling information and state-of-the-art, resealable cans for its current Four Loko products. We know that Phusion takes legal compliance and corporate responsibility very seriously and shares the FTC’s interest in informing consumers regarding alcohol beverages. Moreover, the FTC’s resolution of this matter will allow our family-run, small business to continue to work with Phusion and, as a result, safeguard hundreds of jobs at our facilities in LaCrosse, Wisconsin; Latrobe, Pennsylvania; and Memphis, Tennessee.
As a brewer, we’ve always known that the answer to curbing underage drinking and alcohol abuse lies in increased education, stronger enforcement of existing laws, and personal responsibility. That’s why we strongly support this agreement.
Sincerely,
George Parke
