Companies/other individuals, who collect my personal information in order to serve me should not be allowed to mandate that my information can be sold or shared with third parties, as that overrides my right to demand they do not. In a country where the utilities and communications services are owned by so few, my ability to have a cell phone, television, computer and other services should not be tied to a mandate that my personal information can be used for anything other than providing me the service I pay for.
