My son was shot and killed in the streets three years ago because people wanted his computer. The facts aren’t clear as to why they shot him, did he resist we will never know. But, it was a laptop I was renting from our local rental store. The police was able to use the software that the rental store installed to take pictures of the suspects. They were shortly arrested and are now awaiting trial.
It is unimaginable too think that some parent now would loose a child and not be able to track their laptop because someone at the FTC things it violates a criminal.
I cannot speak for others, but I was clearly informed what I was renting. I was not lied to. I often wish that maybe I should no have rented it, and then my son would still be alive today. But, then they might have found another reason to kill him, his starter jacket, shoes, or for money. Who knows, but I thank the makers of this software everyday in my prayers and I am thankful the rental dealer used it.
