Submission Text
We receive countless complaints on the California Medicare Fraud Hot Line from seniors relating the unsolicited telephone calls they receive from persons who offer 'new medical card' or 'new Medicare card' and then ask for the person's bank checking account information. Many times, the caller (fraudster) already has a lot of the victim's personally-identifiable information.
