It has been my feeling from the start that demanding the citizen provide his SSN as a means of identity is intrinsically wrong. President Roosevelt promised the American people that the Social Security number would NEVER be used as an i.d. His promise held good for more than 50 years. . . but came to an abrupt end with the advent of new-wave government despotism, which, unfortunately, has become the entrenched norm. Before about 1995 other means of identity, such as drivers' license or military serial number, etc., served well in the same capacity to which the SSN has now been so flippantly adapted. The American people are being lied to. There is no need for the SSN as a means of i.d.; it is merely part of a ploy to strip us of the last vestiges of our freedom while we are frogmarched down the broad avenue that leads to dictatorship. I would enjoy seeing the integrity of the SSN restored to its former status, which was that of an intimately personal nuance of each individual American's retirement plans, and his own PRIVATE BUSINESS. In re illegal aliens' "rights" to benefits under the SS Act –– A crime such as this on the part of government should not go unpunished. Legitimate American SS recipients as well as those WHO WILL BECOME legitimately-entitled to SS benefits IN THE FUTURE are being asked to sacrifice their potential retirement income in a near-bankrupt system in order to support massive hoards of criminal usurpers who today are flooding into the United States unrestricted. What happens when the SS Trust is completely depleted and bankrupt and there is less FICA tax revenue going INTO the fund than the amount that is being paid OUT? The SSN is not an apt means of identifying illegal immigrants, nor of supporting them while they unlawfully remain in the U.S. It should not be used for that purpose. Rigid control over America's borders is the only solution. . . backed by deportation of illegals who are already here. The fact that the Bush administration has recently announced additional cuts to U.S. Border patrol staff does not bode well for America's future. In my honest opinion, Mr. Bush and his entire cabinet should be seized by law enforcement authorities and escorted to jail in handcuffs, pending trial to answer charges of war crimes, treason and high crimes against the United States Constitution, to include the deliberate, systematic debauchment of the Social Security Trust fund –– a vital aspect of Americans' lives that should ever remain sacrosanct. Fortunately for Mr. Bush there will be no worries in his furure as to income, since he and the entire Bush crime family are immensely wealthy. This "despots' advantage" could be shortchanged, however, in the face of a life sentence. Otherwise, George W. Bush, et al, will rob the American People of everything we hold dear and then go Scott free. . . to luxuriate afterwards in the unholy spoils of power and privilege. Not so for the rest of us "useless eaters". . .
