A SSN is a vital tool in identifying the correct John Doe. I deal with identitiy theft, and although a person's ID is stolen, the perpetrator is still using the SSN. I need full access to SSN's and Credit bureau files to track down the bad guy...Eliminating the SSN for investigatinve purposes is cutting the nose off despite the face...Allow law enforcement and Licensed Private Investigators the continued ability to investigate. Texas is regulated by theTexas Department of Public Safety. As far as I'm concnerned, you will not find a better extension of law enforcement than a Texas Licensed Investigator. In addition, don't make me have to explain to an abandoned child and mother or father that I can't assist the Attorney General office in trying to locate the deadbeat parent so they can collect child support beacuse a vital tool in my research has been eliminated by the Government.
