As a licensed, bonded and insured Pivate Investigator, access to Social Security numbers is a vital part of many cases I work. When trying to locate a debtor who illegally changes their name, use of a SS# helps me identify their location, allowing my client to collect a debt. This also holds true for service of process-use of a SS# search aids me in locating the inividual to be served, allowing due process or my client. Furthermore, the SS# allows me to identify the actual person I am trying to locate when they have a common name (e.g., John Smith). This furthers due process for my client and allows for positive identification, avoiding unnecessary costs and extraneous burden on the judicial system. Using Social Security number searches helps to alert an average person of when another individual is using their number fraudulently. Use of SS#'s also aids in locating missing persons, including children who have been abucted by non-custodial parents. I beleive that the ability to search for persons in the course of a valid legal investiation by a licensed, bonded and insured Private Invetigator poses not risk to the public, and actually furthers the legal interests of common citizens. Thank you for your time and consideration in this most important matter. Please feel free to contact me if you should need further information.
