Comments:
I am opposed to the proposed change to the do-not-call registry which would allow companies to deliver pre-recorded messages or to any other change in rules which would remove restrictions on telemarketers. Concerning the specific change being proposed to allow pre-recorded messages, prior to implementation of the do-not-call system, many (probably most) of the unsolicited calls which we received from telemarketers utilized pre-recorded messages. Removal of this restriction would effectively be the same as removing all restrictions, and would allow these undesired and annoying disruptions to resume. I completely support the do-not call list in its current implementation, as it has significantly improved the quality of life of me and my family.
