The Do Not Call registry and supporting Federal legislation and rules have been the single most important tool in restoring privacy to the American home. I urge rejection of the FTC proposal to allow 'pre-recorded message telemarketing'. The recent national election year use of this type of currently allowed 'pre-recorded message telemarketing' should be evidence enough of the intrusive nature of this practice to see that it should not be extended to the commercial sector.
