I have three residences and have dropped primary phone service at two of those residences exclusively because of the volume of pre-recorded advertisements that clogged my answering machines. My other phone is on the "do not call" list and the number of annoying calls has dropped dramatically. If pre-recorded calls are allowed on that phone I will be forced to discontinue that service also and be left with only my cell phones.
