This is ridiculous. No one wants these calls which is why they continue to push you to allow them. I used to receive over 30 calls per day from people I never did and would not do business with. Don't Do This!!! I am sure the opt in provision will be buried in small print on page 5 of a three page bill. Voice mail means that the phone has to ring in order to be activated. But then we are just the taxpayers and the public and if we are inconvenienced, oh well. We, the public, don't want this. Quit listening to the telemarketers. The FTC exists to protect us not to victimize us. Be Firm!! Say NO!!!!!!! Think from the consumers prospective. Can you list 5 things that will be better in our lives by subjecting us to unwanted voice messages. We now have Spam protectors on our computers to stop this exact sort of thing. You did not hear from thousands of consumers clamoring to receive telemarketing calls and telemarketing voice mails. Do the right thing. We signed up for the Do Not Call list because that is what we want!! There is no public good in a decision to allow this to continue. Then we will have to have a national do not send voice mails list. It seems obvious that this is not in anyones interest except the telemarketers..it is clearly not for the benefit of the public!!!
