I resent having vendors, solicitors and politicians using my answering machine for their benefit and consider this recent proposal to allow sales pitches to be left on my answering machine an intrusion into my personal life. I didn't purchase my phone or answering machine for sales pitches, I purchased it for my personal use, what I consider important. During the recent presidential political campaign I missed an important message left by daughter amongst the dozen or so messages from Bush, Kerry, Arnold and friends urging me to vote. I do not look forward to having spam message clog my answering machine like my home computer. Opt-out is not an option, I don't have the time or resources to fend off these intrusions on my time. Please, Please just stay out of my life!!!!!!!
