As an enthusiastic registrant in the "Do Not Call Registry", I am appalled to learn that the FTC is considering allowing an invasion of our privacy by allowing pre-recorded message telemarketing to invade my home. I have made it a policy never to do business with anyone who solicits business via the telephone. This still happens occasionally. I always tell the invader to add me to a "do not call" list. How can I do this with a pre-recorded message? Permitting pre-recorded messages would only be another example of the government's preference for the interests of business over the well-being of the American people.
