Comments:
I am entirely opposed to any loosening of the Telemarketing Sales Rule. In fact, I would like to see the existing rules changed to completely prohibit calls from charitable and political organizations to phone numbers listed on the Do Not Call List. I would also like to see the Commission ban pre-recorded sales messages completely. We the consumers should have the right to decide not to allow these calls to disrupt our home lives. If the Commission does decide to loosen the Telemarketing Sales Rule, I may well disconnect my home telephone service entirely rather than suffer the deluge of additional calls that are currently prohibited. Please do not loosen the Telemarketing Sales Rule.
