ON THANKSGIVING DAY, just after we had finished our graces, the phone rang. I answered it, hoping it was our daughter calling. It was a pre-recorded message from a mortgage company. On the morning of the 26th, at 8:00 sharp, another call from a mortgage company. On the 27th, at 8:00 a.m. sharp, yet another. We received five additional calls over those three days. I own two small businesses that I run out of my home. I DO NOT WANT PRE-RECORDED OR ANY CALLs THAT ARE UNSOLICITED COMING INTO MY HOME. They've even invaded our fax machine!! We receive emails from companies, lots of them mortgage companies, that get around our block system by saying, IN ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION. We haven't asked a question. We feel like we're little sun fish swimming in a world of sharks that are trying to tear the few coins we have in our pockets from us. I suppose the lobbyists got to you guys. My lobbyist is a congressman but I don't think he represents me very well. The old way of me contacting someone when I needed something seemed to work great for years. Why do we have to have somebody trying to sell us something every damned time we inhale and exhale? This is not the age of communication. It is the age of greed. My wife and I want to be left alone by telemarketers. Our home is our sanctuary. PLEASE! NO LOOP HOLES! Thank You, Tom & Glenda DeMoss
