Those of us who signed up for the Do Not Call list did so because we DID NOT want people to call. And, frankly, whether it's a person or a machine making the call is of little comfort to you when your dinner is interrupted This proposal, no matter how carefully monitored, will defeat the basic purpose of the list. The quiet we carve out of a hectic day, is one thing I look forward to on returning from work. Let's not bow down to the pressure of some speciat interest group, the millions of people who asked to not be disturbed have spoken--they don't wish to be disturbed! They don't wish to be disturbed by a person, they don't wish to be disturbed by a machine...
