Thank you for taking comments regarding the proposed rule changes re. the Do Not Call Registry. First let me say the the Registry is working very well. My unwanted calls are down at least ninty percent since I signed up for the service and that is terrific!! I would ask that the rules remain very strict. I have purchased some items from a major mail order house and placed my order over the internet. I now get flooded with e-mail and magazines. I have asked the vender to drop me from their list without success. I plan to try again. You seem to have a handle on telamarketers, please do not let them plague us again. I know the employees of these organizations are just doing a job but I found myself shouting at them and hanging up my phone. In my view, we should make the rules more stringent. The ads on TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, billboards and the sides of buses and cabs are more than enough. Our phones should be private. Thank you for this opportunity to air my views.
