I absolutely oppose any relaxation of the rules limiting phone calls for sales or solicitation of contributions. I particularly dislike recorded messages. People fought hard to get the present law reducing unwanted phone calls. Do not let the direct marketers take away these hard-won rights. Legislators and public regulators, take note that your stand on this issue is likely to be an issue in the next election, and I will vote against anyone who sides with the agressive marketing people on this question.
