I often receive several automated phone advertisements each day and urge you to not change your rules to allow automated messages. As it is, many of my friends and acquaintances let their answering machines pick up calls and they don't pick up unless they recognize the caller. Caller ID is not a reasonable option considering the added expense, and also considering that we don't always recognize the phone numbers of persons and/or businesses we have called and requested a callback from.
